If you ever watched the WWII movie "Bridge on the River Kwai" this is it. It's about 2.5 hours northwest of Bangkok in the city of Kanchanaburi, our AIRBNB was a bamboo hut on the river a few miles south of the bridge. We walked across the bridge and visited the POW camp, another adventure was riding the train over the bridge to a waterfall, it was an open-air train car from the 40's. We had a scooter all week so we could ride all around northwest Thailand.
