Athens, after 12 1/2 months in Europe we are leaving and going to Bangkok.

We are in Athena Greece, there is so much history here! We went to the Acropolis and saw temple of Athena, the Parthenon "Temple of Athena Nike", temple of Poseidon, Eretta, the Ancient Agora, Hadrian’s Arch, temple of Zeus, the tomb of the unknown soldier, Roman Agora and so much more …..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Corfu, our third Greek island

We were in Corfu Greece  for a week. It is an island in the Ionian Sea that has two fortresses on the island. It is located at the entrance of the Adriatic Sea. There is a palace to Achille (from the Trojan War). A couple of castles and wonderful, beautiful beaches. We renter a scooter and rode all around the island. It is only 229 square miles.

Tirana Albania, a small place

 Three days is Tirana Albania, this was not a coastal city, but it has history.  The country of Albania can fit inside Alabama 4.5 times, in other words, its a small place and they have over 170,000 bunkers in the city left over from the communist era.  We took a city walking tour and learned; Mother Teresa's family was from there, they have a large piece of the Berlin wall donated to them, the mafia is still live and well.
